When 25-year-old Petite Tendai from Kent, near London, left work late one evening to find her car had been wheel-clamped, she was at a loss as to what to do next. Despite the lack of no parking signs her vehicle had been firmly demobilized. It was late at night, she was far from home and all alone. But then suddenly, an amazing thing happened.

Out of nowhere, a bizarre-looking character, dressed in a home-made superhero costume suddenly appeared.
And within seconds he had begun to saw off the offending wheel clamp (free of charge) before disappearing into the night. Was it a bird? Was it a plane? No! It was "Angle-Grinder Man"
For several months residents of Kent have had their own real-life superhero to defend them from the tyrants at the DMV.
Dressed in his home-made superhero costume complete with blue cape, gold boots and gold underpants, (worn over his pants of course!), this one-man-vigilante-force roams the streets of London wielding his circular power-saw, (called an angle-grinder), rescuing stranded motorists and their illegally parked cars by simple sawing off the offending wheel clamp.
Although he hardly melts into the background, particularly when he switches on his noisy machine, Angle-Grinder Man has so far managed to elude the authorities by a mixture of luck, cunning and quick work.
Once he gets going, he can liberate a car in less than a minute. He does not accept money and says his main motivation is "anger at how politicians in this country treat people in general, but particularly in regard to motoring regulations."
Petite Tendai told reporters of her brief encounter with this noble hero.
"Basically, he jumped out of his car in his outfit and said, `If anyone can, Angle-Grinder Man can,' " Ms. Tendai said in a telephone interview. "Then he just started sawing it off. It was wicked. I think he's extraordinarily attractive," she added. "Especially the golden knickers."
Apparently, Angle-Grinder Man was spurred to activism when his car was booted and he was told that it would cost £95 (a little over $170) to free it. "I was fuming inside," he said. He rented a circular saw for about £30 and did the job himself.
The only clue the general public has to our hero's true identity is that the car he drives now has a photo of the sawed-up clamp taped to his windshield, along with a note saying, "Please don't clamp me because I've got an extremely sensitive nature."
