For the last few weeks, postal workers in the suburban town of Springfield, Ohio, had been noticing that the office coffee tasted 'a little strange'. All attempts to determine the source of the problem were tried. The old metallic coffee filter was quickly replaced. The coffee pot and all the office cups were carefully cleaned but still - the unusual taste remained along with a vaguely familiar musty aroma. It was only after two colleagues placed a hidden camera in the office kitchen that the shocking source of the tainted coffee became apparent. (See video surveillance clip).

Yes folks! Thomas Shaheen, a vehicle mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service, was charged thiis week with two misdemeanor counts of adulteration of food or placing harmful objects in food.
In other words, he had been pissing in the office coffee pot.
Prosecutors said workers believed Shaheen began pouring urine into the office coffee pot in early July when the unusual taste was first noticed by his colleagues.
"Employees did put a video camera in, and that's how they were able to put a stop to what he was doing," Akron Prosecutor Douglas Powley told reporters.
Powley also mentioned that Shaheen has been a postal employee for 11 years but recently appeared unhappy at work. (Unhappy? Working the Post Office? Who would have suspected that?) Shaheen was ordered to appear in Akron Municipal Court on Monday.
David Van Allen, a postal service spokesman, told reprters that he was particularly "grossed out" by Shaheen's bizarre actions.
"It's bad enough all of us being forced to drink this asshole's urine for the last two months - but it's even worse for me", he told our reporter. "After all, I was the only one drinking his cappaccino rather than regular coffee", he continued.
"If he was using urine instead of water then who knows what on earth he was using instead of the chocolate sprinkles?", he added with a shudder.
